Following is a Facebook post by Cicada Books on its two-week closing because of Covid-19 concerns:
For the health and safety of our customers and staff, we have decided to temporarily close the shop for a period of two weeks, beginning Monday, March 16. Any events that have been scheduled during that time will be canceled, as well as any reservations to our meeting spaces calendar.
Also canceled will be the April meetings of Tasty Reads Book Club and the Green Room.
After this time frame we will re-evaluate the situation and announce a reopening date if we feel it is safe for our customers and staff.
During our closure, if you’re looking for additional reading material, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and we can try and get some books to you, either via mail or curbside pickup.
We love our Huntington community and thank you for the support you’ve shown us during our first year and a half of business. We will be doing our part to squash the unnecessary spread of Covid-19 and we hope you do the same by following the CDC’s recommendations.
